Doha, January 02 (QNA) – The Early Child Department of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education affirmed its keenness to achieve the Ministry’s strategic plan, goals and pillars, which will have an impact on the development of the various competencies of students through programs and operation plans that aim to develop the performance of male and female teachers and coordinators within the framework of the preparation for the second semester of the academic year 2022/2023.
In this regard, the administration noted that it has provided the educational field with supportive and useful educational resources, such as quarterly plans, guides, and teaching mechanisms, which assist in teaching specialized skills for scientific and linguistic subjects (Arabic and English) in the foundation stage and kindergarten, in addition to continuous evaluations of students to measure their achievement, skills, and academic knowledge, and thus evaluate and develop their performance as necessary.
Kindergartens were also provided with three new illustrated stories for the second semester of the current academic year, in addition to what was provided in the first semester, which were designed in a creative way that takes into account the age group, and promotes values and belonging among students and stimulates their thinking. Additionally, the Department provided the educational field with guidelines for recreational days, according to the plan for the second semester, which helps teachers in choosing the most effective and enjoyable activities for students and parents.
The Early Child Department stated that it had organized various competitions to develop the skills of students in this age group.
As for the readiness of the Early Child Department in the field of training and awareness workshops, topics of importance for training were selected based on an analysis of the training needs from the perspective of teachers and coordinators. Related work began in the Kindergarten Department on Dec. 26, and it continues in the form of professional learning communities that provide benefit to teachers and coordinators.
The Department confirmed its readiness to train teachers and coordinators of the arts, scientific and English language tracks, through three specialized training workshops throughout the second semester, noting that (the future teacher channel) was opened on Teams to support new teachers, while the coordinators will be trained in leadership workshops that increase their skills.
