Doha, January 02 (QNA) – Qatar Charity continues to provide relief aid to those affected by the floods in the Dadu district of Sindh province in Pakistan.

This aid included shelter and foodstuffs to alleviate the area’s residents’ crisis, as 500 tents and 800 food baskets were handed over to the affected people.

Dadu is one of the largest areas affected by the floods.

In this context, the Assistant Commissioner of Dadu Region, Yassin Abbasi, said: “We are very grateful and happy with the assistance that was provided to our remote region in Sindh province, which is one of the largest areas affected by the floods. We appreciate the efforts of the donors in the State of Qatar and the efforts of Qatar Charity to distribute this valuable aid.”

It is worth noting that Qatar Charity has provided urgent aid to those affected by the floods in Pakistan in several areas in Balochistan, benefiting more than 500 people, as food baskets and tents were distributed. About 9,000 Afghan refugees on the Pak-Afghan border also benefited from this aid. (QNA)
