London, January 02 (QNA) – The British Foreign Office announced that the UK has stopped importing Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG).
“Today the UK has ended all imports of Russian Liquefied Natural Gas,” the Office announced on its official Twitter account.
The British Foreign Office attributed this decision to the military operation launched by Russia against Ukraine.
Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022. Confrontations between the two sides are still continuing with no solution to the crisis looming. The crisis resulted in dire economic consequences for the international community, while western countries, led by the United States, imposed unprecedent sanctions on Russia. (QNA)
