Riyadh, January 04 (QNA) – Qatar’s rally driver Nasser Saleh Al Attiyah was fourth within the competitions of the forty-fifth edition of Dakar International Rally’s 2023 and only conceded 2 minutes to Sebastien Loeb, the days winner. The rally is being hosted by Saudi Arabia for the fourth consecutive time, until Jan.15, amid the participation of 820 drivers and navigators representing 68 different countries.
French driver Stephane Peterhansel finished second with a time of 4:11.47 hours, just 13 seconds behind the leader. Spaniard Carlos Sainz came in third place, 1.50 seconds behind the leader, while the Saudi Yazeed Al Rajhi completed the list of the first five places with a time of 4.18.38 hours.
Al Attiyah retains a solid lead in the general rankings after the end of the fourth stage with a total time of 16.34.13 hours, and a difference of 18.18 minutes from his closest competitor Saudi Arabia’s Al Rajhi, who finished in second place, with a total time of 16.52.31 hours, while the Frenchman Peterhansel came in third place with a total time of 16.53.05 hours.
