Doha, January 04 (QNA) – Al Duhail defeated Al Gharafa 3-0 on Wednesday in Week 8 of the 2022-23 season of QNB Stars League.
Tunisian international Ferjani Sassi gave Al Duhail the lead in minute 31. Bassam Al Rawy doubled the score in the 48th minute and a 90+4 goal from South Korean Nam Tae-hee made it 3-0.
Today’s victory brought Al Duhail temporarily atop the league table with 17 points, one point ahead of Al Arabi. Al Gharafa remained fourth with 12 points.
The rest of Week 8 matches will be played Thursday with Al Arabi facing Al Ahli at Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium and Al Rayyan clashing with Al Sailiya at the same venue.
Some fixtures were rescheduled over some players’ participation with their national teams in the Khaleeji 25 championship due Jan. 6-19 in Iraq’s Basra. (QNA)
