Basra, January 08 (QNA) – HE Iraqi Minister of Youth and Sports Ahmed Al Mubarqa expressed thanks to the leadership and people of the State of Qatar for the big support extended to Iraq to organize the Arabian Gulf Football Cup (Gulf 25) currently underway in Basra.
In remarks to Qatar News Agency (QNA), HE the Iraqi Minister extended thanks to the leadership and people of Qatar for their big support, noting the remarkable Qatari presence at the opening ceremony of the Gulf 25 championship.
His Excellency congratulated the State of Qatar on the success of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, describing it as an exceptional World Cup edition that honors all Arabs.
HE the Iraqi Minister of Youth and Sports noted the significance of the Gulf 25 championship in the presence of all Gulf teams and the Gulf reunion, noting that Gulf 25 represents a historic event for Iraq and an important opportunity to bring life back to Basra.
HE the Minister referred to the efforts to complete all arrangements and achieve success, noting that Iraq welcomes everyone after 44 years of organizing the tournament in Iraq.
