Cardiff, January 09 (QNA) – Former Wales forward Gareth Bale announced Monday retirement from professional football.
The 33-year-old said on Twitter that his decision of immediate retirement from club and international football came after a careful and thoughtful consideration.
Bale was part of Wales’ squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The former Tottenham and Real Madrid star added he felt incredibly fortunate to have realized his dream of playing football, which gave him some of the best moments in his life.
