London, January 11 (QNA) – Chelsea announced Wednesday, the signing of Portuguese international striker Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid on loan until the end of the current season.
Felix said in statements to the club’s website: “Chelsea is one of the greatest teams in the world, and I hope to help it achieve its goals … I am excited to play at Stamford Bridge.”
The Portuguese striker had moved to Atletico Madrid in 2019 in a huge deal worth 125 million euros from Benfica, and he played 131 matches with him, scored 34 goals and provided 18 assists, and contributed to winning the La Liga title in the 2021 season.
Felix (28 international matches) scored one goal for the Portuguese national team, and was against Ghana in the two teams’ match in the group stage competitions of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. (QNA)
