Basra, January 12 (QNA) – Oman advanced to the semi-finals of the 25th Arabian Gulf Cup (Gulf 25) following their Thursday’s 2-1 win over Saudi Arabia, in Group A third fixture at Al Minaa Stadium.

Oman’s Al Mundhir Al Alawi opened the scoring in the 34th minute, and Harib Al Saadi scored the second six minutes before the final whistle. Turki Al Ammar equalized for Saudi Arabia in the 41st minute.

Oman qualified as Group A’s runners-up with seven points, behind Iraq which led the group after a 5-0 win over Yemen earlier today.

Saudi Arabia finished third with three points, while Yemen remained last in the group standings. (QNA)
