Victoria, Hong Kong, January 18 (QNA) – Qatar Bowling Team was qualified for bowling world championship “Kuwait 2023” that will be held during the period from Oct. 9-26, 2023, in Kuwait.

This came after Qatar won the eighth place in the 26th Asian Tenpin Bowling Championship 2023, Hong Kong, starting from Jan. 8, and concluded on Wednesday with the participation of 95 athletes representing 16 countries.

Member of Qatar Bowling Federation (QBF) Saeed Al Hajri headed the Qatari delegation participating in the championship, along with Khalifa Al Kubaisi, the Argentinian coach Pedro Mirani and several Qatari athletes.

The championship law states that the first eight countries shall be qualified at the level of Asia to participate in the championship, where Malaysia ranked first, South Korea ranked second, Singapore ranked third, Hong Kong ranked fourth, the UAE ranked fifth, Thailand ranked sixth, Macau ranked seventh, and Qatar ranked eighth in the overall total of the Asian Championship.

Accordingly, all these countries have been qualified for the world championship “Kuwait 2023”. (QNA)
