Rome, January 21 (QNA) – The Italian Football Federation deducted 15 points from Juventus due to financial irregularities in player transfer deals.

In a statement on Saturday, the federation said the points deduction penalty will be applied this season.

Juventus will fall from third place in the Serie A to 11th place (from 37 to 22 points after 18 matches), 15 points away from fourth place.

Missing the Champions League will be another blow to the club’s accounts, after recording 254.3 million euros losses last season. (QNA)
