Doha, January 22 (QNA) – Al Duhail coach Hernan Crespo said he was satisfied with his side’s preparations for their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 11 match against Al Shamal.

The Argentine said in the pre-match conference: “Our preparations for this match went off as usual, our focus is on how we perform on the field and we know that the match will not be easy. But I am happy with the return of the national team players and also the return of our players who were absent due to injuries. We are facing a new challenge.

“While we face Al Shamal, leaders Al Arabi will face champions Al Sadd and we will be eager to know the result of this match to know whether Al Sadd will return to compete for the title or Al Arabi will continue to lead. But the most important thing is that we beat Al Shamal. And we must show everyone that Al Duhail are one of the best clubs in the league.

“I am facing great difficulties in choosing the line-up with which to play the match due to the quality of players and the high level of the league. We must choose the best and most prepared in each match, and despite the difficulty of this matter, it is very good and reflects the distinction of our players,” said Crespo.

Al Duhail player Suhaib Gannan said, “Our preparations were as usual, like in all previous rounds, but the good thing this time is that we have regained the services of a large number of players our colleagues who were absent due to country duty or injuries.

“I must thank the technical staff for giving me the opportunity and made me appear in many matches, and this matter makes me happy because it reflects the coachs confidence in my abilities. But I still have a lot that I want to present and my assistance to the team motivates me to raise my physical and technical levels,” he added.
