Munich, January 24 (QNA) – Bayern Munich announced today that Senegalese first-team striker Sadio Mane has returned to training as he is continuing his recovery from an injury that prevented him from participating in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

“It is a nice feeling, returning after a beautiful and long vacation,” Mane said after the training.

The former Liverpool striker suffered an injury to his right leg during Bayern’s 6-1 victory over Werder Bremen on November 8, as a result of which he underwent surgery that prevented him from participating with his country in the World Cup.

Earlier this month, Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann confirmed that it is expected that Mane will be ready to face Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League on February 14 in Paris. (QNA)
