Doha, January 26 (QNA) – FIFA President Gianni Infantino, appreciated the great efforts of Qatari arbitration and the great leap it has made recently. This came during his attendance at the activities of the refining course for evaluators of referees and elite referees in the Qatar Football Association (QFA) with the participation of (20) resident referees along with (60) elite referees.
In a statement today, Infantino indicated that he is happy with the extent of development in Qatari arbitration, stressing that referees are a very important part of the FIFA family and all continental federations. He urged the referees to exert more effort and continue to develop, stressing his support and care for arbitration in general.
The course included theoretical and analytical lectures, video tests, and training on video technology using the simulator, in addition to lectures on football law subjects in English during the morning and evening periods, physical fitness exercises, practical applications, and training on the application of video technology at Training Ground No. (6) at Qatar University.
Arbitration Department at QFA invited a number of international and European lecturers in the framework of close cooperation with the FIFA Arbitration Department as well as the various European federations in order to supervise the practical exercises for the referees. (QNA)
