Malmo, January 31 (QNA) – The State of Qatar, represented by the Air Sports Committee, participated in the periodic meetings of the World Air Sports Federation and the organizing committees for air sports activities, and the annual meeting of the World Air Sports Federation’s parachuting committee, which was held in Malmo, the Kingdom of Sweden, and attended by 23 countries.

Qatar was represented in these meetings by secretary-general of the Qatar Air Sports Committee Hazaa Hamad Al Attiyah, head of the technical and administrative affairs department of the committee Mansour Omar Al Karbi, technical expert Dr Omar Al Khayyat, and international referee Mohammed Al Hajri.

Discussions during the meetings focused on the agenda of international championships, technical matters and proposed amendments to some paragraphs of the international law for skydiving and voting on them.

International referee Mohammed Abdullah Al Hajri’s membership in the style and accuracy landing competitions committee was approved. The committee is one of the active committees in the Skydiving Commission.

At the end of the sessions, the city of Orlando, Florida, the United States of America, was chosen to host the meeting of the Skydiving Commission for the year 2024. (QNA)
