QNB Stars League: Al Wakrah, Al Gharafa Coaches Seek Victory in Tomorrow’s Match
Doha, February 03 (QNA) – Al Wakrah coach Marquez Lopez and Al Gharafa coach Pedro Martins stressed the value of the three points of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 13 match.
Lopez stressed during the press conference that the confrontation will not be without difficulty in light of the great capabilities that Al Gharafa players have, pointing out that he sought during the preparation period for the match which does not exceed two days only, to motivate his players and raise the level of their enthusiasm and passion for the confrontation in pursuit of victory.
“The short rest before the matches was repeated again before the next match against Al Gharafa. The preparations for this match were limited to only two days.
“I tried to motivate the players and raise their levels of enthusiasm, because I realize how difficult the match is against a team of the size of Al Gharafa. Although they are in the middle of the table, they have distinguished players, therefore the match will be very difficult.
“Although the mentality of Al Wakrah team is always winning, we realize at the same time that this goal will not be achieved because it is impossible to win always, especially in view of the complete ranks of the competitors. But all we can do is that we go to every match in order to collect the three points,” said Marquez.
In turn, Pedro Martins admitted the great difficulties that his team will face in Al Wakrah match tomorrow, he described the competitor as one of the best teams in the league, given that its players possess high competitive capabilities and great offensive capabilities.
“Al Wakrah are one of the best teams in the league, as they have players with high competitive capabilities, in addition to their good attacking capabilities, with the presence of striker Dala, whom I know well from Portugal. Therefore, we know that we will face a strong team and we also know what we must do, but it will be a tough game against one of the best teams.
“Winning matches in general is an important thing because it contributes to everyone’s feeling of happiness, and then the preparations during the week following the victory are more positive preparations.
“We have done good things in recent matches and we had many chances to score, but we lacked the necessary effectiveness to take advantage of those opportunities, and therefore it was necessary to win the Al Sailiya match to give confidence to everyone.
“We have an injury to Saifelddin and he will not be ready to play because he needs some time other than the absence of Mustafa Essam for injury and Ayoub Mohammed to be with the national team.
The rest of the players are ready as Almahdi Ali returned from injury and trained well during the past two days. Moayad Hassan, who trained since the beginning of the week, and everyone will be ready for the Al Wakrah match,” said Martins. (QNA)
