Lausanne, March 25 (QNA) – The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced Mexico’s desire to organize the 2036 or 2040 Summer Olympic Games.

The IOC said that Mexican Foreign Secretary Marcelo Ebrard and Mexican Olympic Committee President Maria Jose Alcala met with IOC President Thomas Bach to whom they delivered a letter in which they formally state Mexico’s interest in hosting the 2036 Olympic tournament.

The IOC stated that it was already in talks with ten countries regarding hosting the 2036 Olympics.

Paris and Los Angeles will host the Olympic Games 2024 and 2028 respectively, while the Australian city of Brisbane will host the 2032 edition. (QNA)
