Miami, March 27 (QNA) – Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz reached the quarterfinal of 2023 Miami Open, after beating Serbia’s Dusan Lajovic.

World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz defeated Dusan Lajovic 6-0, 7-6(5) and advanced to the fourth round, where he will face Voorhees, N. J. native Tommy Paul for a quarterfinal spot.

Alcaraz went one set ahead with a 6-0 win. This happened thanks to his first serve performance, winning 14 out of 19 times (74%).

During the second set, Alcaraz had a 5-3 advantage, but Lajovic broke back, and the set was decided in a tie-break. The Serbian did not keep up with the same level and the World No. 1 clinched another victory. (QNA)
