Washington, August 17 (QNA) – Head coach of the US women’s football team Vlatko Andonovski resigned today, following his team’s exit from the last-16 of the World Cup.
The result was the worst in the team’s World Cup history. They lost on penalties to Sweden. Andonovski guided his team to a bronze medal in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, which took place in 2021. They lost in the semi-finals to eventual winners Canada. (QNA)
