New York, November 20 (QNA) – Six shirts worn by Argentine star Lionel Messi during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, have been put for sale in an auction.
Messi, World Cup winner with his country in 2022, wore these shirts during the first half of the group stage against Saudi Arabia and Mexico, in addition to the following games in the playoffs against Australia, Netherlands, Croatia and the final game with France.
The company organizing the auction indicated that the auction will be one of the most expensive for sports collectibles if the price of the shirts exceed $10 million dollars.
The shirts will be available for public exhibition when put for sale in the period between the Nov. 30 to Dec. 14. A part of the revenues will be donated to “UNICAS” Project, which is an initiative with a children hospital in Barcelona helping children affected by rare diseases.
