Brasilia, November 22 (QNA) – Argentina’s Nicolas Otamendi scored to lead his team to a 1-0 win over Brazil on Wednesday in the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier group match at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.
The game’s lone goal was scored by Otamendi in the 63rd minute.
Argentina top the South American table in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers with 15 points from six games.
Uruguay also achieved its third consecutive victory against Bolivia with a score of 3-0.
Meanwhile, Colombia continued its strong start to the South American zone qualifiers after a first-half penalty from Rafael Santos Borre gave them a 1-0 away win over Paraguay.
