Kuwait, December 06 (QNA) – Asian Handball Federation (AHF) has set the schedule of the games of the 2024 Asian Men’s Handball Championship, due to be held in Bahrain from Jan. 11 to 25, as well as qualify for the World Championship in Croatia, Denmark, and Norway in 2025.

The Qatari team will open its campaign in the championship by confronting the Chinese Taipei on Jan. 12, and will play its second game with the Omani team on Jan. 14, while it will play its third and final game in the group stage with its Kuwaiti counterpart on Jan 16.

The draw for the tournament placed the Qatari team in Group A alongside the teams of Kuwait, Oman, and Chinese Taipei. Group B included the teams of Iran, South Korea, China, and New Zealand. Group C included the teams of Saudi Arabia, Iraq, India, and Japan. Group D included the teams of Bahrain, the Emirates, Hong Kong and Kazakhstan.

Winners of the first and second ranks from each group will qualify for the main league with eight teams that will be distributed to two groups to play in a league system, while the first and second places will qualify for the semi-finals in addition to qualifying directly for the World Championship.
