London, December 17 (QNA) – Liverpool settled for a goalless draw against Manchester United on Sunday in the seventeenth round of the English Premier League.
With this draw, Liverpool failed to reclaim the top spot, which Arsenal (39 points) had earlier seized after defeating Brighton with two clean goals.
Liverpool’s tally now stands at 38 points in second place, only ahead of Aston Villa in third place on goal difference. Aston Villa secured a 2-1 victory against Brentford.
