London, January 08 (QNA) – The English club Newcastle United announced the extension of the contract of Swiss defender Fabian Schar until the summer of 2025.
Newcastle United said in a statement today, “Switzerland international Schar, who turned 32 last month, has made 169 appearances for the club since arriving from Deportivo La Coruna in July 2018.”
For his part, Schar, who has been capped 78 times by his country, said: “I’ve said it a lot of times, but I feel really at home here.”
Fabian Schar’s contract was scheduled to expire at the end of the season, before the Swiss defender signed a new contract two days after his prominent role in the derby victory over Fulham with a score of (3-0) in the third round of the FA Cup.(QNA)
