London, March 25 (QNA) – Nottingham Forest announced on Monday that it has filed an appeal after the Premier League deducted four points from the club for breaching financial rules.
The points deduction was announced on March 18 after the club admitted to breaching the league’s GBP 61 million (USD 77.5 million) profitability and sustainability rules.
At the time of the deduction, Nottingham Forest was in 17th place in the Premier League table with 25 points. The four-point deduction dropped the club to 18th place, one point above the relegation zone. Burnley and Sheffield United are the other two teams currently in the relegation zone. (QNA)
