Tbilisi, March 26 (QNA) – The Georgian national team qualified for the UEFA European Football Championship (Euro 2024) for the first time in its history, after defeating the Greek team today by a score of 4-2 in a penalty shootout following a goalless draw in both regular and extra.
Georgia advanced to the final match after defeating Luxembourg 2-0 in the semifinals, while the Greek team reached the final by defeating Kazakhstan 5-0 in the semifinals as well.
By qualifying, the Georgian national team joined Group F in the UEFA European Championship alongside Portugal, the champion of 2016, Turkey, and the Czech Republic. (QNA)
