Doha, September 26 (QNA) – The State of Qatar participates in the global campaign organized by European Space Agency to monitor and photograph DART collision with Asteroid Dimorphos orbiting around Asteroid Didymos on Monday evening until the second day morning.

The astronomer expert at the Qatari Calendar House, Dr. Bashir Marzouk stated that the monitoring site will be Al Kharrara area south of the State of Qatar, where the monitoring experts will capture dozens of images starting from (2 am) Tuesday morning, predicting that the collision will not be visible to the naked eye, however, the monitoring team will attempt to utilize 14 Inch Telescope to monitor the Asteroid with the attendance of QU Astronomy Club in collaboration with the Qatari Country Calendar House and Arab Astronomical Society and others, in addition to dozens of those interested in astronomy hobbies in the State of Qatar.
