Doha, October 26 (QNA) – The State of Qatar has signed the official participation contract with a national pavilion in the World Exhibition “Expo 2025 Osaka”, which will be held in Osaka, Japan, from April 13 to Oct. 13, 2025.

The contract of participation was signed on the Qatari side by Deputy Commissioner-General and Chairman of the preparation committee for the State of Qatar’s participation in the exhibition Nasser bin Mohammed Al Mohannadi, while on the Japanese side was signed by HE Secretary-General of the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition Hiroyuki Ishige.

About 50 countries and 25 international organizations will participate in the exhibition, attracting 82 million visitors, including 3.5 million from outside Japan.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said that the committee for preparation for participation in the exhibition has started its work since the decision to form it with the membership of representatives from several authorities in the country, noting that the committee will make the necessary arrangements towards the participation equipment and design a distinguished and high-level pavilion, through periodic meetings that the committee holds it to show participation in this global event in an honorable way.

The ministry indicated that the activities and events that will take place in the context of the exhibition’s theme are in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030, which aim to achieve a diversified, inclusive and sustainable society.

The participation of the State of Qatar in the exhibition is a platform for strengthening commercial, industrial and investment cooperation relations with the various countries participating in the exhibition, it will also contribute to allowing Qatari businessmen and companies to build strong relations with the Japanese side and establish business partnerships in various sectors, especially since Osaka is a business center in Japan.

Expo 2025 Osaka will be held under the theme, “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” and will focus on three sub-themes, namely “Saving Lives,” “Empowering Lives,” and “Connecting Lives.”
