Doha, November 01 (QNA) – Qatar Charity (QC) has handed over wheelchairs to Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs (QSRSN) to help beneficiaries with special needs move easily.

The wheelchairs were provided to QSRSN, with the support of the benefactors of Qatar, and comes as part of Qatar Charity’s keenness to support people with disabilities.

This is part of Qatar Charity’s social responsibility and its desire to integrate this section of the community into public life and spread societal awareness of their rights.

“We are keen to cooperate with all governmental and private institutions, associations, and charitable organizations, especially Qatar Charity, which is one of supporters for our children with disabilities, whether in the social or financial aspects,” said Talib Afifa, member of QSRSN’s Board of Directors.

He thanked Qatar Charity and the donors for their kind contributions in providing the wheelchairs for those with disabilities, hoping for more cooperation and work for the benefit of the people with special needs.

Abdulrahman Al Hajri, director of the Local Programs and Community Development department at Qatar Charity, said the wheelchairs handed over to QSRSN comes as part the community efforts carried out by Qatar Charity in cooperation with various bodies and individuals to serve the local community.

He emphasized Qatar Charity’s keenness to engage this section of the community in its various programs and projects, which contribute to their social integration.

He noted that Qatar Charity has previously provided chairs to QSRSN, indicating that Qatar Charity would continue to provide more services to the people with special needs.
