Doha, November 20 (QNA) – Senegal football teams Coach Aliou Cisse assured that the team is ready to perform well in its matches, in order to qualify for the next stages in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, with Senegal facing the Netherlands as part of Group A.

In a press conference in the Main Media Centre (MMC) today, the Senegalese Coach said that the Senegalese football Star Sadio Manes absence has its impact on the team, yet despite that, the team consists of a set of good players who are able to show great performance such as that of 2022, noting that African football has changed a lot, with many of its footballers playing in the world’s top leagues. Cisse also asserted that it is the right of every African to dream of their countries obtaining the World Cup Champion title.

He also praised Qatars stadiums and facilities, emphasizing that Qatar has went above and beyond to ensure the Senegalese teams comfort.

The Senegalese coach stressed that his countrys team is ready to play tomorrow’s match as well as the rest of the tournament matches, with the team dealing with each match separately because every match has its circumstances and the Senegalese national team must present its identity in this tournament and play in the style it is known for, with it being obligatory for the team to balance between attack and defense.

For his part, Senegal national team player Krepin Diatta said that the national team is ready for tomorrow’s match despite Mane’s absence saying that the team wished if Mane would have been participating in this tournament, however the squad plays as a team and must play in solidarity and maintain that solidarity, so that it yields good results.

Diatta continued that he is proud to represent his country’s national team, returning following an injury that he overcame, with his focus now being on the tournaments matches, which he worked hard to participate in, with the Senegal national team aspiring to play well.

He expressed his hope for the recovery of injured Striker Sadio Mane and his return to shine on football pitches.

Senegal is competing in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 in Group A, which includes the teams of Qatar, Ecuador and the Netherlands. (QNA)
