Marrakesh, November 25 (QNA) – Morocco and Saudi Arabia signed Friday a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the objective of encouraging and developing the cooperation in the field of tourism, and coordinating the efforts dedicated to achieving a sustainable development to establish the tourism between the two countries.

The memorandum was signed on the sidelines of the UN 117th session of the executive council of the World Tourism Organization currently being convened in Marrakesh city of Morocco.

In addition, the memorandum of understanding that was initialed by the Moroccan Minister of Tourism, Handicraft, and Social and Solidarity Economy Fatima-Zahra Ammor and the Minister of Tourism of Saudi Arabia Ahmed Al Khateeb is poised to offer a framework to share the expertise in the area of tourism, identify the investment opportunities, development of human capital and provide new opportunities for tourism investments.
