Moscow, November 29 (QNA) – Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev discussed the creation of a “tripartite gas union” consisting of Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, during talks that took place in the Kremlin today.

Russia Today TV channel reported that the Press Secretary of the President of Kazakhstan Uslan Zheldibay said that the Kremlin talks included coordinating procedures for transporting Russian gas through the lands of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, with Presidents Tokayev and Putin expressing their conviction of the need to conduct detailed negotiations with the participation of experts from all 3 countries, in order to find a rational solution to this issue, taking into account the interests of all parties involved.

The Kazakh President arrived in Moscow yesterday on an official visit, which is his first after being elected President of the country.
