Doha, December 04 (QNA) – HE Chairman of Qatar Media Corporation (QMC) Sheikh Hamad bin Thamer Al-Thani met with HE Minister of Commerce and Acting Minister of Media of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, HE Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs of the sisterly State of Kuwait Abdulrahman Baddah Al Mutairi; and HE Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al Hajraf, during their visit to Doha to attend part of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 events.

Qatar Media Corporation stated that the meeting, which was attended by HE CEO of Qatar Media Corporation Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Thani bin Khalid Al-Thani, touched on the unique World Cup edition presented by the State of Qatar, and the tournament’s enormous positive impact on the region and effective role in altering the pervasive stereotype, in addition to a myriad of fruitful discussions on the tournament and the atmospheres accompanying it.

HE the Saudi Minister of Commerce and Acting Minister of Media underlined that the State of Qatar has dazzled the world by its success in this great gathering, lauding the efforts made by Qatar to present an exceptional edition of the World Cup at all levels.

HE the GCC Secretary-General said that Qatar World Cup represents a point of convergence that gathered the Gulf media, hailing the great and enormous efforts made by the State of Qatar to host the tournament and the whole world.

HE CEO of Qatar Media Corporation Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Thani Al-Thani extended his thanks to the ministers of information of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait for their great role in supporting the tournament, hailing the fraternal atmospheres that gather the curator of the media action in the GCC states.

The GCC ministers of information toured a part of Lusail heritage village, the distinguished project with its authentic architectural design that includes images of the Qatari cultural history created by Qatari and foreign innovators, in addition to several various facilities. (QNA)
