Berlin, December 27 (QNA) – The German government has approved arms exports worth at least 8.35 billion euro this year, the second-highest annual figure in the country’s history.

According to data issued by the German Economy Ministry, more than a quarter of the weapons and military equipment delivered from January 1 to December 22 went to help Ukraine which is facing a military operation on its land, German news agency (dpa) reported.

Deliveries worth 2.24 billion euro have been approved for Ukraine, but even without Ukraine, exports worth more than 6 billion euro received government approval, according to the (dpa). (QNA)
