Doha, December 27 (QNA) – The Ministry of Municipality’s joint rainfall emergency committee has done intensified work to withdraw bodies of rainwater that fell recently, as emergency teams in all municipalities have continued to work non-stop, around the clock, from Monday afternoon until Tuesday evening.
226 emergency teams’ employees and workers participated in withdrawing water bodies operations, while 127 machinery, equipment, and pumps were used during these operations. In addition, the ministry’s unified call center dealt with 167 reports for rainwater withdrawal, as the reports were transferred to the concerned authorities to deal with them.
On the other hand, the highest point of the cumulative volume of rain reached 15.1 mm, while the lowest was 1.1 mm.
General cleaning work resumed after the process of withdrawing rainwater in the main roads and streets in various regions of the country. (QNA)
