Doha, January 22 (QNA) – Al Shamal coach Hisham Zahid spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 11 match against Al Duhail.
“I think the Al Duhail match will be very difficult. Our competitors are a strong team and have players of a high level. They have played two matches more than us, who have not played a match after the league returned after a long break,” he said.
On his team’s preparations for the fixture, Coach Zahid said “Al Shamal are ready for the match at the psychological, physical and tactical levels, and we will strive to achieve the best result despite the difficulty of match against a great team that seeks top positions in the league. But we trust our players and the extent to which they bear responsibility, and their keenness to do their utmost in order to present a good match.
“I thank our club management for its constant support for the players,” he added.
Al Shamal player Mohsen Al Yazidi said, ” A difficult match awaits us against a strong team that certainly seeks to win in order to compete for the league title. But we will fight it out with all our strength in order to achieve the best possible result.
“We are ready and we hope that we have benefited from the long break and present a good match and be at the best of our expectations. We also hope success will be with us,” he added. (QNA)
