Doha, February 01 (QNA) – Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index gained 106.39 points at the beginning of Wednesday’s trading, as the general index rose by 0.97 percent to reach 11,038 points, compared to the levels it reached at the end of yesterday’s trading.

The rise recorded in the Stock Exchange is due to the improvement in the performance of the bank and financial services sector by 3.59 percent, the transportation sector by 1.67 percent, the real estate sector by 1.64 percent, followed by the industrial sector by 1.15 percent, then the telecommunications sector by 0.83 percent and the consumer goods and services sector by 0.01 percent. On the other hand, the insurance sector declined by 0.03 percent.

At 10:00 am, QSE recorded transactions worth QR 71.408 million, distributed to 18.411 million shares, with the implementation of 2,535 transactions. (QNA)
