Hangzhou, China, March 16 (QNA) – The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) praised the tremendous efforts of the Organizing Committee for the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, eastern China, from Sep. 23 to Oct. 8.

The OCA Director General Husain Al Musallam said in his opening address at the 5th OCA Coordination Committee meeting in Hangzhou on Thursday: “On behalf of the Olympic movement in Asia and the Coordination Committee members, I would like to put our deep appreciation on the record for the hard work of the team that I see here during the difficult two and a half years of the pandemic,” he pointed out that the Coordination Committee’s visit to the Athletes’ Village, Media Village and Technical Officials Village, makes confident that the 19th Asian Games are going on the right track.

On the other hand, mixed martial arts will be a demonstration sport at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, noting that it was included in the medal program of the 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Bangkok and Chonburi,Thailand, from Nov. 17 to 26. (QNA)
