Canberra, January 04 (QNA) – Spanish Rafa Nadal progressed to the quarter-finals at the Brisbane International (250 ranking points) on Thursday, following his easy win 6-1 6-2 over Australian wild card Jason Kuebler .
After almost a year layoff, Nadal marked his return with two consecutive wins, the first against Austrian Dominic Thiem in the first round.
The Spanish Matador will compete in the quarter-finals with another Australian, Jordan Thompson, who reached this round after his French competitor, Ugo Humbert, withdrew before the match due to health issues.
