Rome, March 27 (QNA) – The European Olympic Committees (EOC) announced that they have unanimously opted for the Turkish city of Istanbul to host the 2027 European Games.
Istanbul will be the perfect venue for best athletes in Europe to shine in 2027. The Executive committee will submit its decision to the EOC General Assembly in June to finally approve the decision, EOC President Spyros Capralos said in a statement.
Istanbul is not going to build new places for the upcoming European games, but rather will draw on the existing infrastructure.
President of Turkish National Paralympic Committee Murat Aksu so far reported that the organization of the 2027 European Games is part of Turkiye’s endeavors to win the bid for hosting the Olympic and Paralympic games in 2036. (QNA)
