Baghdad, December 28 (QNA) – The Iraq Football Association (IFA) confirmed on Wednesday the readiness of the Basra and Port stadiums to host the games of the 25th Arabian Gulf Cup (Gulf 25) to be held during the period from Jan. 6-19, 2023.

A member of the IFA, Firas Bahr Al Auloum, stated that the electricity system has been completed in addition to the provision of generators to supplement to the government electricity in the Basra and port stadiums dedicated to hosting the Gulf 25.

He indicated the installation of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system in the stadiums by a Spanish company.

The Ministry of Transport prepared the details of public transport and the entry of visitors and fans into the territory of Iraq through simple and coordinated procedures between the Ministries of Youth and Sports, Interior, Transport, and Health, the local government of Basra, IFA, and all other supporting institutions, as well as the organizing committee of the tournament.
