Basra, January 09 (QNA) – The Iraqi national football team defeated Saudi Arabia 2-0 on Monday at the Basra International Stadium in the second round of Group A competitions of the 25th edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup football tournament (Gulf 25).

Ibrahim Baish put the Iraqi team ahead at the 30 minute before substitute Aso Rostam doubled the score in the 88 minute.

With this result Iraqi team raised their points tally to four points at the top of the group equally with the Oman team who earlier today beat Yemen 3-2, while the Saudi team remained at three points.
